Karma karma comcast chameleon, you come and go, you come and go

I've actually been playing with a very inexpensive HDTV/DTV antenna with mediocre results similar to that described by the guy in this YouTube video. The alternative he describes seems straightforward enough and its results so impressive that perhaps, perhaps, it's that rare DIY project I might be capable of accomplishing and motivated to do. (Short form for cavemen: Ug, digital antennas suck! Headless man make look easy! Me save big money now!)

The ridiculous bloated cost for cable, let alone HDTV cable, is hard to justify in shaky economic times. Especially when hi-def broadcasts over the air are free for the picking (with the right equipment.) Are we headed back to huddling around the antenna, listening to Obama fireside chats like FDR through scary times? Well, I am cooking bean soup as we have our own chat here, for what it's worth.
